Removing your own Y! ID from other people's list?

Will Yahoo Messenger EVER come up w/ a way of removing your ID from others YM list???

  • Over the years I have agreed to allow numerous people to have my Yahoo ID. IE: previous managers, co-workers, etc. Once I leave the company, they continue to have my ID in their list. Why doesn't YM come up w/ a way of pulling back our ID's when it is no longer necessary for a user to have them?? They are our ID's after all. It shouldn't be an endless right to our ID once you give permission. I realize we can permanently appear offline to them, but as many of us know, that is not always the most reliable. Sure do wish there was a way of taking my ID back when it is no longer necessary for one to have it!!!

  • Answer:

Well, we can always block them but I know what you mean. They still have it. My husband and I haven't been married for about a year now and girls he had chatted with and has had off his list from even way before I met him will message him out of the blue with comments about him being married and even asking to get together after the snide comment. His profile clearly reads married. I'm not jealous but it's just childish and unnecessary. It would be nice if we could just take it off their list instead of just blocking them after they've sent something.
