How to add people in Yahoo as your contact?

How to get rid of pops of people i do not know wanting me to add to my contact list yahoo messenger?

  • I ask this days ago and donna answered and i thought it was stopped but did not work ..she told me to make my self invisible on email page chat i did and i uninstalled yahoo messenger...What else any one I am getting tired of decline 6 or 7 each time i open my email

    I think you are talking about the Messenger, built into your Mail page and not the downloaded version but here is how to stop on both, just in case. BUILT IN MESSENGER ON YOUR EMAIL PAGE Here is how to stop these invitations from your Mail page: Go to your Mail page and then, on the right hand side of the page, go to "Options" >Click on "More Options">Click on "Spam". Under "Blocked Chat ID's">choose one of the options given. Either "Block chat messages from anyone who is not in my Contacts" or "Block chat messages only from the people listed below:". If you use this option add the person in the box. Click on "Save Changes" at the top. DOWNLOADED YAHOO MESSENGER Click on "Messenger" in the top left hand corner of the Messenger Toolbar. Click on "Preferences". Click on "Ignore List". Click on "Ignore anyone who is not in my Yahoo Contacts". Click on "Apply" followed by "OK".

making yourself invisible doesn't mean you cannot receive the pops from people wanting you to add. all i can think is to activate your Ignore List to "ignore anyone who is not on your messenger contact" and to tick the boxes on Privacy Setting on the messenger box to "Ignore Chat Invitations / Conference" per se. and i guess that will help solve the problem. but i can't guarantee also. i wish Yahoo will add that feature also so people won't be problematic about it. i know it's so annoying to get these pop ups.
