My Yahoo messenger is showing Yahoo IDs instead of names. How do I change it?
-
Before my laptop crashed, my Yahoo messenger showed the names of my contacts. Now I got a new laptop and a new Yahoo messenger, but all my contacts are now shown through their Yahoo IDs, which tends to be confusing since people have odd Yahoo IDs which aren't similar to their names. I just want to return to seeing their normal names again.

Answer:
Right click on their ID and click contact details. Fill in their first and last (if you want the last) names. Entering the nickname is optional, if you enter anything there, that is what will show.
