How to get yahoo instant messaging?

I don't hear when some one is instant messaging me on my yahoo.how do i get the sound back?

  If you have enable sounds checked and it's that the sounds are just very low and poor quality, you can change the sound wavs that were dowloaded. They offer various ways to install the sounds, depending on your personal preferences, install a few old ones, a few of the sounds not offered with Yahoo Messenger, or replace all the sounds with the Self-Extracting zip that will automatically install the old Yahoo sound files to Messengers Media folder.
