Is there a way to change a name on Messenger?

How do I change the way my name is displayed when I invite someone to join my messenger list?

    You can change the name that appears to others by following these steps: → Log in to your Yahoo! Messenger → Click on Messenger on the top menu bar within your messenger window → Click on My contact details → Change your name also... → Log in to yout Yahoo! Mail → Click on My account → It will ask to verify your account → Under Address/Contact Information click Edit and change your name ...also prior sending the request, you can see a "Send name as" and you can change it :)

you just back space out what is there and replace with name you want them to see

There is an option prior to sending the invitation if you wish your name to appear as is; if not, you may change your name. Also, there is an option if you wish to send a message with the invitation. Good luck.

Hi, What are you doing to test that it's still not working? if you add someone that you have added before then they will not get the new name change unless they have deleted you from their address book as well as friends list. Their address book takes priority, so deleting just the id from their friends list to test adding will not work make sure it's removed from the address book too! :)
