Why can't I change my display picture on messenger?

Why can't I change my Display picture on Yahoo Messenger?

  • So I have not been on Yahoo Messenger for a while now and I just got it installed it on my Mac but for some reason I cannot change my display picture. Anybody think they can help me with this problem? Thanks

  • Answer:

    Click on ' Messenger ' tab in the top left corner of your client, then click on ' My Display Image '. A window will open, then you can either choose ' Share My Picture ' or ' Share My Avatar '. For the picture you want, click on "Select" and choose from the pictures that show up in the next new window or you can click on ' Browse ' which will take you to your 'My Pictures ' folder where you can choose whichever picture you want. Just click on the one you want and hit ' Open ', then on ' Apply '.

Sorry this is not an answer but I am having the same problem. I am using Mac as well. I had a profile picture and wanted to change it, no matter how many times I tried, the old profile pic remained and wouldn't change. I finally just selected no photo option. This must be a bug for Mac users. Did anyone else have this problem but got it resolved?
