How do I upload a picture instead of using a generic avatar?

How can I upload my face picture to my yahoo messenger instead of having the avatar?

I've notice that some people in my contact list thru yahoo email have their pics as a default instead of the avatar - therefore, I see a face attached to an instant message while I'm messaging. How do I upload my face shot so they can see my pic while we're chatting using yahoo messenger - instead of the generic avatar?
Answer:

Messenger > My Display Image : browse the photo and click to upload. tick the box to "Share my display image" and click OK to finish.

Go to the link below and click on Edit My Preferences. There you click Update photo or Avatar. Then you click Add photo. You then click Browse and find the photo you want in your computer files and click open. Then you click upload. That's all there is too it. Hope this helped!
