Where is the chat icon in the new messenger 8.0?

How can i display the "Chat icon" in the Messenger window?

  • I recenlty downloaded the newest version of Y! Messenger w/ voice, However i cannot get it to show the Chat icon (or any other icon). To chat I have to click Messenger>Yahoo Chat>Join a Room. In the previous versions i could simply "click" on these icons and it would act as a shortcut. Also, before i was able to remove and add these icons/buttons in the 'preference' menu, not the case w/ this newest version of messenger.

    I also have the same problem like u, i guess something wrong with the Y/M v8, since I installed it, virus & unlimited trouble shooting goes after it quite often. Automatically, sign out or unable to sign in, unable to edit the weather... & so on....Not really bcoz of our pc problem. Now, I have already installed lower version v7.5, running much better, but still have rest of trouble that v8 brought to me.

Unfortunately 8.0 has bugs when getting into chat rooms and if you got in there you probably wouldnt see anyone typing . Go back to 7.5 or 7.0 both are working well. You can get the exe to dl and reinstall that by going to www.wackyb.co.nz/
