How can i take my real name off my messenger and instant messages?

you have to open another account name. I had problem w AOL, called them and they "helped" by "fixing" my problem and used my real name. had to open a different name under that account. Yahoo works same, use another name. pretty sure. thats how it worked before

"Messenger" "My account details" Delete your name from the name fields and your ID will show up when you IM. Be advised, though, it doesn't matter what you see on your screen, the person you IM sees what they put in for your account details.

u have to go to your profile and change the nickname because that's the name that appears on screen
