How do i change my yahoo IM display name?

Yo if any1 got yahoo messenger how do you change your display name when i im someone it says my name?

• when i instant message people it shows my name instead of my id for example John Smith: what's up. but my id name is something different like sharkpik how do i change it so that when i instant messege people it will show my id name (ex sharkpik) and not my name (ex John Smith)???

  Regarding the answer above, that works on your end, but the person receiving the message may see something different. For instance, when I add a user, I update his/her contact details to show first and last name. So when they IM me, it shows me their first and last name, not their ID.
