Why doesn't YM see transferred archives?
-
I IM on two machines (work & home) with the same people and same YM account. I want to store the archives on my home computer, so when I create an archive at work, I email it to myself and then delete it from the work computer. But when I put the archive in the same location on the home computer it doesn't show up in the list of archives. Is there any way to get YM to recognize that there are other .DAT files in the folder?

Answer:
Close the messenger (if it's currently running) -> go to your desktop and double-click "my computer" -> select the c: drive. Go to "c:\program files\Yahoo!\messenger\profiles" -> right click and create a new folder rename "work" use this one for your transferred messages - putting them in the other profile folder will result in the "home" messages being over-ridden
