How can i change my nickname in chatting?

I just downloaded the new yahoo and on my conversations it displays my whole name. How do i change that?

  • In a instant message or when chatting in a chat room it uses my full name and i dont want that i want a nickname. In the old messenger it would be ur yahoo id like bob_20:..... well mine has my full name and i want to change it but don't know how.

    Go to My contact details on messenger and edit ur name.........or go to my account information and edit same......

Another option while in a chat room click on Chat, click on change nickname, change nickname, save nickname, then close chat room, and re-enter chat room. This worked for me and would expect it to do the same for you.

go to messenger then my contact details change it

in the massenger window click in Help, and select the topic.. u will be able to learn alot of information about the settings.

in messenger -- go to messenger and to profile make a new profile and than us it as nickname
