Why doesn't my picture show on yahoo messenger on Display Image?

When I'm on Yahoo Messenger, it gives me the option t display my image and then I go and do that, and the darn thing still doesn't show. Is it broke, What the heck, this s so annoying

Answer:
Messenger > My Display Image > once you upload, tick the box to "share my display image" and click OK to apply. log out and close the program then log in again.
