How should I view the yahoo chat history if i din save the message archives?

I need to view the previous chat history of my frend, but unfortunately i din save the msgs in msg archives, how can I view the msg now? Pls help me, its really important and very urgent...

Answer:
Go to messenger -> preferences -> archives, enable this feature, click okay. To save future messages, mark "yes, save all of my messages", click "apply" and "okay". To read archived messages right-click the user ID, click message archive. Any messages prior to enabling the archive feature are not stored anywhere and can't be retrieved. About offline messages: only those of people on your contact list will be saved. Messages from people not on that list won't get saved.
