How do you add friends in Yahoo Messenger?

How do i add my friends yahoo addresses to my yahoo messenger without inviting them to use it?

  You can't. That is why you have to Accept or Deny an invitation. Unless your friends are on your list, you will not be able to see if they are on line. However, once you have them on your list, you can remain Invisible to everyone on your list. You can choose only the ones you want to see you. You don't have to respond to anyone, if you are invisible. If you want to be sneaky, you can create a new yahoo id, go into a chat room, type in there yahoo id and select to follow them, then without revealing who you are, try to chat with them and befriend them and then invite them to your new yahoo id/messenger. Then they will think you are someone else. Good Luck!
