How could someone turn off my yahoo messenger from a different computer?

Signing out of yahoo messenger automatically when turning off computer?

I used to be able to just turn off my computer and yahoo messenger signs out on its own, so i don't have to be bothered with signing it out myself. i changed PCs and now my yahoo messenger doesn't sign out unless i sign out, which is a pain since i share this computer with someone else at work and i would hate for him or her to be able to access my messages and have my friends contact him or her because they think i'm online. where in the settings do i change this? thanks! :-)

open your messenger click messenger tab click preferences click General uncheck the box where it says, when i start up my computer. automatically start yahoo messenger click apply and ok this should stop it from starting up when you turn your computer on
