Yahoo IM is using my real name instead of my yahoo I.D. Anyone know how i can change it back to use my I.D.?

I recently updated yahoo IM and ever since it has used my real name in the IM dialogue box instead of my yahoo I.D. i have looked around all over in the preferences and different tabs in the messenger and cant find anyway to change it back to my yahoo I.D. i would prefer not to have every person i chat with to know my real name so any help would be greatly appreciated.

try clicking on the messenger tab in your IM window. click on my profiles then create/edit save when done

do you have a yahoo! 360 account? if so, you might have choose to show your Yahoo! Identity display on your Yahoo! 360 settings.

go back to your yahoo profile if u have entered your name and user name you must delete or remove your real name .
