How do you request a friend on Yahoo Messenger?

How do I remove the add request pending from yahoo messenger when my friend already accepted?

• I try adding again and again my contacts stiill it show add request pending. Try deleting the contact also.

• Answer:

  Try restarting messenger. If that doesn't work, right-click on the person's name and select try to view their profile- essentially anything to make messenger update the way it displays the name. I had the same problem and that's how I fixed it.
