Is it possible to use a webcam on Yahoo Messenger for Mac?

MAC USERS PLEASE HELP me my webcam is not accepted by yahoo!messenger?

well.. the problem is, i bought this webcam and i installed the driver and all, i think i did everything right. so i wanted to use it for my yahoo messenger account. i clicked on "webcam" and it said "no webcam found" so i went to preferences-->webcam-->video to choose the source, as it says in the manual. there SHOULD appear my camera at "default sources" to choose, but it just says (none available). please help me, what did i do wrong?

The error message "no webcam found" should appear in a new window, one that would be the cam window if it was working. In that window try clicking File, then Webcam Preferences. Usually you can select your cam from there instead of in messenger preferences. This is what works with Windows, it should be similar on a Mac. Unfortunately Yahoo! offers about zero support for Mac, the Messenger Help pages for Mac don't even mention Webcams.
