Why does Yahoo now sign me into chat even when I say No thanks?

I hardly use Yahoo messenger. I don't WANT to use Yahoo messenger. Despite the help guidance saying that my decision to sign out will be respected until I change that decision, it has signed me in, keeps asking if I want to be signed in when I relog on my yahoo mail. WHY? Hate the damned thing, it's driving me nuts. I have used Yahoo mail for over ten years but this will make me change if it continues

Why don't you delete the Yahoo messenger program. That will get rid of it permanently.

When you are signed into mail, just show your status as offline, you should not be asked again.
