Why can't I reset my Yahoo password?

My password is not work am sure i didn't forget it - i try reset it yahoo said sorry cant reset online ! helpp?

  SIGN-IN PROBLEMS WITH YAHOO MESSENGER If this is the first time that you have had the problem first try exiting Y!M by right clicking the Yahoo! icon by your clock and choosing exit. Then relaunch Y!M and try again. If you still have problems reboot your computer. Some of these issues just work themselves out after a certain amount of time but if you have tried rebooting and you do not want to wait then read below. First if you are using a firewall make sure you are using Yahoo Messenger 9.0 or it probably will not work.
