WHY IS MY YAHOO MESSENGER NOT OPENING ?

When I go to my messenger and click sign in it does not open.The way Ihave been doing it is working but it just is not right I have to start the download process then when it begins I cancel it and I am able to send and receive messages .But when I shut my pc down and restart it again the messenger doesn't work again.Any ideas?

You might need to switch to another YIM. Yahoo is having a lot of problems with IM 9. IM 8 also has a few problems. Try this site it has all the older versions of yahoo messengers. I have vista and 9 does not work well with vista & XP. Try 7 that is the one I switched to and it is working ok. Hope this helps!!! http://www.oldverision.com/program.php?n...

It could be infected by a virus There could be too many people on at one time causing the server to be whack Your entire computer could be infected by a virus Do a computer virus scan of the file for yahoo just incase and the rest of the computer. Or delte yahoo messenger and redownload it
