    not quite sure what you mean.. as in at what point it restarts but if you have installer issues using http://messenger.yahoo.com/download.php the Direct Download Location for the full exe file on Yahoo! servers: http://download.yahoo.com/dl/msgr8/us/ymsgr810_249_us.exe that will give you a full copy of the latest version (8.1.0.249 for Windows 98 / 2000 / ME / XP / Vista released 28 March 07) which may help as that way you install directly rather than via the smaller installer file which then downloads the remaining required :)
