I cant log in to yahoo messenger using my computer but i can log in to other computer.?

when i use my roommate's computer, i can log in to y!messenger but mine, cannot. what's wrong with my computer? i uninstall and re-install y!messenger but still i cant log in to my computer. but i can log in to y!mail. please help asap!

Answer:
after you un-installed and re-installed, did you restart your computer and try to log in again? Did you delete the Messanger directory first in your C drive?
