Answer:
WHY CAN'T I STAY SIGNED IN FOR 2 WEEKS WHEN I HAVE CHECKED THAT BOX ON YAHOO! PAGES Basically that setting can be undone in a few ways. One way is if you sign out of any Yahoo! Page such as Yahoo! Mail or Yahoo! Answers it will sign you out of them all. What you need to do in that case is click close instead of signing out. Keep in mind that you will be signed into those pages, unless you have your browser set to delete cookies when you close the window. Another way for that 2 weeks check box setting to be undone is if you clear your browser temp files and cookies because that setting is stored as a cookie. So if you either manually clear those or if you use a program such as CCleaner which is a junk file cleaner, it will undo that 2 weeks option. Also some security scanners whether it be anti-virus or anti-spyware might also delete cookies and temp files. I do not know which ones. If you have your browser set to clear cookies each time you close your browser this will undo the keep signed in for 2 weeks option. If you use Firefox make sure you change that setting. It is in Tools>>Options>>Privacy Tab. Where it says Keep cookies until, choose they expire in the drop down menu. Then just manually delete your cookies, cache, temp files, and history manually every so often. Each time you do you will need to reset that option to keep signed in 2 weeks. This is just one example, I am not sure where this setting is in other browsers. ------------------------ What I do so I do not keep having to sign in every time I use Yahoo! Answers is I go to Preferences in Yahoo! Messenger and choose the General category. On this page I check that box that says "Automatically sign me in when I click a Yahoo! link in Messenger. Then I click OK. Now I can use that mail icon at the top of Y!M to automatically launch my Yahoo! Mail page and it will open in my default browser with me already signed in. Then from there you can navigate to other Yahoo pages such as Yahoo! or My Yahoo! or your Yahoo! Profile and you can get to a lot of other Yahoo pages from the main Yahoo! website link. Just look at the top of Yahoo! Mail or any Yahoo page to see links to navigate also in the drop down menu where its says "Hi, your name."
