  CAN'T GET IN THE YAHOO CHAT ROOMS IN THE LAST FEW DAYS? There is a glitch on the Yahoo chat room servers and you might have difficulty getting into the rooms at first. Many get this notice after they enter the captcha code: “You have been signed out of Chat. If you want to sign in again, please join a room.” I tested this out on a few Yahoo IDs and found a couple things to try. I was always eventually able to get in. Also as I discuss below, please contact Yahoo Customer Care to tell them about this problem. Maybe if enough people report it, they will fix it faster. 1. Often just closing out that room window and then attempting to join the room again will fix it. Try a few times if needed. You can also sign out of Yahoo Messenger and back in. Again you might have to repeat this. 2. If the above does not work then try another Yahoo ID. I had a couple Yahoo Ids that were not affected, at least not at the same time as the others. The error might show up later though. Please note that if you are under 18 your request to join a chat room will be refused because Yahoo restricts the rooms to those who are 18 or older for the protection and safety of minors. ======================= OK, this is how to Contact Yahoo Customer care about this problem. 1. First choose which version of Yahoo Messenger you are using on the list on this page: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/ 2. Click the version, and then on the help page it takes you to, up at the top click the Contact Us tab. You will be asked to sign in. Click the link for Technical Support on that page. 3. You should now be on the page for Technical support for whatever version you are using. In the Topic box choose “Chat” from the drop down list. 4. Describe in detail what the problem is and the error message you see. Fill out the rest of the form and click Submit. 5. Cross your fingers and hope that Yahoo fixes it in the near future.
