How can I see the text in the IM?

  • Just downloaded the most recent Yahoo messenger-I think version 8 w/voice on my new-ish computer and now it doesnt work right-keep getting error messages and I cant see the text in IMs. I can see what I type till I hit send then its gone and Icant see anything at all that someone replys to me. I just see "persons-name is typing message" and then I get nothing. No idea what to do to fix this--think may have something to do with scripts? I get the message "Do you want to run more scripts on this page"? NO matter what i say (yes or no) still doesnt fix anything!? HELP!

    Try changing the ImVironment to something else. Does that help? Maybe just doing that and going back will fix it. If not, You can try re-installing Yahoo! Messenger. Click the Start menu, Control Panels and open Add/Remove Programs. Scroll down to Yahoo! Messenger and remove it. Then install a fresh copy of the most recent version from http://messenger.yahoo.com If you're still having problems, you might want to try a new IE install: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx
