How do I connect with Yahoo backdoor bridge?

Yahoo Mess work with internet connection sharing on Win2k? the 4 choices of settings didn't work. Help?

  • I cannot connect no matter which of the 4 connection settings I change in my preferences for yahoo messenger. I even tried installing the newest version you have on your website to no avail. Here is how I am setup. I have Cable Modem Internet on the main computer (All of my computers are running Windows 2000). That computer is running Windows 2000 and is sharing the internet connection through Windows 2000 setup options. It is connected to other computers on the network through a lan card which goes to a Netgear bridge to connect to all the rest of the network. I can login and do everything on the main computer with the cable modem access, but any of the computers that are sharing internet connection on the network can't use yahoo messenger. The regular Yahoo chat works fine on all the computers as well as streaming audio/video. I do not know why I Yahoo messenger won't work. Can you help me please! Thanks!

    You need to dump the bridge and get a router....done deal! Get rid of internet connction sharing. It Sucks!
