How do I uninstall Yahoo messenger when it doesn't let me uninstall it?

I have yahoo messenger with voice ,, i cant get into it to use nor can i uninstall from my computer orr respoo

  • i have done search n destroy ,, cleanned out my hard drive ,plus several other options to uninstall yahoo messenger the computer will not respond to my command,, and when you go to redownload the yahoo messenger itstop responding at 95%amd then freezes up my computer,, ive been trying every thing i can on my end and nothing works,, is there any way to trouble shot yahoo to get it to uninstall its program>>??? ive been doing this for 2 weeks now,,and have had people come here AND TRY THEMSELF IT WONT WORK PLEASE HELP

    Try to Uninstall the current version of Yahoo! Messenger by going to Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove old programs. Open a browser (IE, etc.) window and click on Tools, Internet Options. Under the General Tab, click delete cookies and delete files (check box to delete offline files, as well). Then try to download a fresh version but don't click RUN. Click SAVE and save it to your desktop (click on browse and choose desktop). Close all your window applications, reboot PC, and click on YM8 icon on desktop.
