Why Can I Only Have 30 Groups On Blackberry Messenger?

Yahoo messenger for Blackberry is getting "You have been disconnected due to a protocol error" upon login.

  • Ever since Yahoo performed their scheduled maintenance earlier tonight (Dec 8, 2006), I have been unable to login to yahoo messenger using my Blackberry 8703e (running Yahoo Messenger for Blackberry v1.0.95). When I attempt to login using my Blackberry, I get the "Signing in as... Connecting to Yahoo!" message, followed by "Yahoo Messenger will be performing scheduled maintenance on December 8 from 5:30 PM PST to 7:30 PM PST. During this period, you might experience problems when using Yahoo Messenger", which is then followed by "You have been disconnected due to a protocol error." Is anyone else with a Blackberrry experiencing this problem? Does anyone know if yahoo is working on resolving this problem? How do I report this problem to Yahoo? Note: I am able to login successfully to yahoo messenger using my desktop pc (Windows XP with yahoo messenger v8.1.0.195).

    Hi! i am having the same problem as you are. Same message "you have been disconnected due to a protocol error" I have no idea what to do, i even tried downloading everything but it didn't work! don´t know either how to report the problem. Hi Guys.. I'm having the exact same problems.. Until seeing this I didnt know if the problem was unique to me or my connection.. Hopefully they will resolve it soon !! Just a thought are you guys in the UK?? and on T-Mobile?? Just wondering if its a problem with the network instead of Yahoo or Blackberry

I'm having the same problem as y'all....and I'm in Texas using T-Mobile. I wonder if their maintenance work excluded T-mobile from their network.
