How can I remove names from my messenger list?

Why i cannot add/remove/rearrange persons into my messenger list ?

• I changed my yahoo id...and it's obvious that I wanted all the persons from my old yahoo id on my new yahoo id messenger list. So I added all persons into group called "?" After I rearranged into other groups I signed out and signed in and here comes the part when my Messenger List is blocked. I cannot rearrange any id on my messenger list. I cannot add any id on my messenger list. I cannot delete any id on my messenger list. I try to add...nothing happens. I try to rearrange , it rearranges but when I log in again the id that I rearranged is not in that group I put. I try to delete , it delete the person , but when I log in back the person is still there.

  Sometimes the Yahoo Server can be overwhelmed if you try to do too many things in a given time period. Try doing some of those things in Yahoo Messenger for the Web. Sign out regular Yahoo Messenger before signing into web messenger. http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/ Hover over a contact's name to see the little down arrow on the right then click what you want to do in that menu such as move to group or remove. You can do the same for Group names. You maybe able to do everything you need to in web messenger. Don't forget you can also delete contacts from your Yahoo Mail Contacts Tab. Just check the box by each one you want to delete and click delete. This will also remove them from Yahoo Messenger. In Yahoo Mail Classic click the Contacts tab at the top to open it. In the All-New Yahoo Mail click Contacts category on the left to open the Contacts tab.
