Why is my messenger slow to receive?

Why can't my friend receive my offline messages on Yahoo Messenger?

  • My friend has not received my offline messages I've sent him in over a month. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Messenger, did a system restore on my pc, then uninstalled and upgraded to Messenger 9.0. Still nothing. And the weird thing is that he can get them from another computer or from my mobile phone, but not my home pc. Which makes me wonder if it's an issue with my computer, or his? We have no problems chatting when we're both online, but it's getting annoying to send an offline message, copy it, and then email it, to be sure he gets it. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks so much!

    If you are using Version 9.0, it has too many problems. This is what I recommend: First you have to uninstall the 9.0 version, or any other version you have. Go to CONTROL PANEL----than go to PROGRAMS/FEATURES, or ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Scroll down till you see YAHOO MESSENGER. Click on it and than click UNINSTALL. I am having the same problem the pass mt..I have messenger 8..still dont work..We can be talking and all off a sudden its says u are off line but I am still on..then nothing go through..very fustrating
