Yahoo Messenger for mac... how do i download the old version?

Since people cant view my webcam on the new version, I want to download the old version, but the link yahoo help provides to get the old version always takes me to the new version.... 3.0 beta 2. i want the old 2.5.3 but cant get to it. Why do computer software engineers continually think its okay to release a "new and improved" version (even in beta) when the "new and improved" version can't even do what the old version did? And on top of it, not fix it for MONTHS???? I always liked yahoo more than microsoft, but now I wonder.
