How come i can't get on yahoo messenger?? have downloaded and removed several times?

What is the problem with my yahoooo messenger???

  • its doesnt works it says try gain later so i removed that program full and donloaded new one new says check ur firwall settings? yesterday when i downloaded new version it came for some time thn aftrsometime its not opening only so i removed dat program also now am downloading new ones but sill those r saying check u r firewall settingss bla bla bla bla............... plz plz plz tell me some website wher i wont get this problem i want to download it i cant live without yahoo messenger plzzzzz tell me wher acn i download it and it wont come check u r settings stuff???

    Go here instead of trying to get it from the Yahoo messenger site >> http://www.freecreed.com/ymsgr-archive.html I do recommend you get the 8.1.0.421 version as it is the most stable a bug free version of messenger !! When you download it just save it to your desktop and then run the installer from there. If you have XP just double click on it to start the install. If you are on Vista you will need to Right click on it(the installer you just downloaded) then click "Run as Administrator" to get it to install correctly.

go to start<control panel select windows fire wall option then off it. then try to load your yahoo messenger.

Do this,,,, Click on Start Button/ Settings/ Control Panel/ Add or Remove Programs. DUMP anything that says Yahoo Messenger (toolbar, address book etc etc etc) they will be listed at the bottom of that window), and go to this website,,,,, http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=... and install the 7.0 (my suggestion, one of which I HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH). BE SAFE Cheri PS. Stay away from the 9.0 version it still has bugs being worked out, and like I suggested, the 7.0 is the most stable. And no you will NOT lose any Contacts from a previous version you ran, they are all saved on Yahoos Sever and will transfer to whatever version you install.
