Why am I not able to connect with yahoo messenger?

Why won't my yahoo messenger connect?

• I've been having this issue for a couple of months now. I can rarely get yahoo messenger to connect unless I've JUST started my computer. I have no internet problems, everything else works just fine, it's the Yahoo Messenger that has trouble connecting. It Says "Signing in as ******" and it looks like it's trying to connect but then doesn't. It then flips to the "Welcome, *******" and gives me the option to sign in or cancel. This just started a couple of months ago, what could be causing it? I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling, I've tried using different versions of messenger, it doesn't change it. I've tried signing in with other messenger ID's, nothing is helping.

  Keep trying to uninstall and re-install... I had to do that a million times before it actually worked. Don't give up... just keep trying. I had the same problem as you. Good luck...
