MSN Messenger keeps crashing?

Windows Live Messenger keeps crashing everytime i start it up, does anybody have a solution?

  • I've tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it and installing an older version. The msn messenger that comes with the computer encounters the same problem. The message that appears when i start up Live Messenger says something on the lines of 'windows live messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close...'. As my internet connection is in working order i'm not sure if its the Live Messenger programme or my PC thats causing the problem as it has been working fine for many years. Any answers on the matter would be much appreciated, thanks :)

    I had a problem on Messenger with it deleting my Contact List. No matter what I seem to do, I could not get it to show again. I finally realized that there is a Help button at the top of Messenger. Clicking on that and following the cues that appeared, the techs were able to suggest a procedure to correct it. They went step by step and asked that I contact them again if it didn't work or solve the problem. It did solve the problem and working just fine since then. Try the Help button and see if they can provide a solution for your problem.
