Why won't MSN webcams work?

My webcam Still wont work.?

• I have two webcams.And i have a computer and a laptop.The other day i pluged the Advent webcam into the laptop and went on webcam on msn,it worked fine.Then yesterday i tried the same thing but i plugged the webcam into the computer, it wouldnt work.it kept saying something like,Please make sure your webcam isnt in use with any other programs,I checked and it wasn't i tried again and it still wouldt work.But the cam was plugged in properly because it worked on Windows movie maker, just not msn.I also tried the other logitech cam, that wouldnt work on the PC either.So now ive just come on the laptop and neither of them work, what shall i do ??

  if you get the error message that the webcam is being used on another programme just unplug it for a few seconds and plug it back in. I assume you have downloaded the software for both webcams from the CD or by visiting the webcam manufacturers site. To avoid confusion it may be better to dedicate one webcam to one machine and the other webcam to the other machine. Unless one is far superior - in which case use it on both machines and hold the other as spare when you have the webcam software downloaded and the webcam working- try it in msn note. > sign = left click Sign into msn > show menu - tools > audio and video setup > next (assuming you want to skip audio setup) webcam should launch at this stage and wecam being used will be shown as default > finish
