My yahoo chat doesnt work i just downlaoded yahoo 8 and it says " it took longer than expected" what do i do??

i thought it wasnt working bcuz of my computer but i got a brand new one and it still didnt work it wuold say " the request was refused" then i asked a friend to help me out and he said its bcuz im 16 and u have to be 18 to go in chat rooms or something like that so i changed that and now i go to chat and it says " signing in took longer than expected" and doesnt do anything how do i fix it??? its not my computer and its not the yahoo bcuz i just downloaded it and its yahoo 8 maybe its bcuz i have an old account? but please can some one help me out please!!!!!!!!!!

just keep tryin cuz it will eventually go. but really if ur only 16 u really have to reason to go n those chat rooms. there is no rarely a real person n any of the rooms because it is mainly "bots" or fake people with automatic messages to get u to go to their site.

hey thats the problem with everyone, yahoo servers are screwd up and chat rooms arent workin at all, so chill u are not all alone, all we can do is wait till they rectify the problem!!!
