Granted, yahoo chat/messenger is now for the bots and well..hum...other individuals..i do have a question:?

I do chat with yahoo messenger on occasion. Does anyone think that now...yahoo messenger is loaded iwth hackers and or/other people/groups who could simply rend a virus/or keystroke program to one's private computer, or any other malicious virus? Would it be easy? Are the chances remote? Lately, when I go to yahoo messenger, chat....my computer freezes..I send error reports..but..no good....about 1 out every 3 times...the whole system freezes....NOT so with my regular computer or internet connection..all is fine...My two anti virus programs...are really great...they never pick up anything...RELATED to yahoo...but they do stop and destroy other viruses..Anyway..sorry for beng long winded. Am I foolish for trusting Yahoo messenger/chat? thank you

It would be hard with the security that yahoo has in place to send something to your computer, and as you have said your virus scanners have not picked anything up. As far as locking up and freezing your computer a friend of mine had the same problem because it takes up so much to run. I hope that helped.

My computer would freeze up when I had yahoo and msn. I just wound up having to get one of those combo messengers. That's all I can really say. Hope this helps... sry
