yahoo messenger 8 wont work on my pc. Can you help me out. any advice?

I just spoke with Yahoo! customer care. Today, July 22nd 2006, Yahoo! experienced an outage which caused intermittent login issues for Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Voice, and some Yahoo! Mail users. While it wasn’t an issue to login to Yahoo! Answers and ask about the outage, some Yahoo! sites/products were affected. This issue is now resolved and you can now login.

when you go to the yahoo website to messenger it gives u a choice of version 8 or 7.5 u can try the 7.5

I downloaded newer versions and always go back to 6.0, version 1922 - which you can get for free at www.freecreed.com. Good luck!

the messenger 8 probably will work on your computer, but they are having technical difficulties at the moment- the whole system is down at this time.
