My Yahoo Messenger 10.0.0.1102-us runs like crap, every few minutes it crashes and does not respond.?

    You need the following OS to support Messenger Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista / XP64 / Vista64 / Windows7 If that is not an issue read on. I would recommend a re-install - if you failed to clean up your C drive after uninstalling from the Control Panel you have old software sharing folders with the new download and conflicts arising. Close all other programs while uninstalling, downloading and uploading Save your Profile folder to CD if you wish to retain your Message Archives Download 'Revo' uninstaller - double click on Yahoo Messenger - Use the 'Advanced' mode when the option is shown - Revo will make a Restore Point and then uninstall Messenger using the Messenger uninstall software. It will then scan your C drive and Registry for all fragments and files that failed to uninstall. Delete everything it finds http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html Download 'ccleaner' and run it through a couple of times,using the factory settings and the 'Run Cleaner' control until 0 byts have been seen to be cleaned following a scan Run the 'Registry' from the left hand toolbar but 'Save' any changes before repairing http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ Re-start your computer Download Yahoo Messenger from here. http://www.filehippo.com/download_yahoo_messenger/ You now need to check your support software is in place and up to date - this is required to run Messenger but not downloaded with it use the links on this page to help update software. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger10/notices/mstabuguqscripterror.html After updating check you do not have old versions of Flashplayer, Shockwaveplayer and Java running alongside the latest - this can cause conflicts Start / control panel / programs delete any old versions Download your old Profile folder into the Messenger folder. -
