Why isn't my webcam broadcasting on Yahoo Messenger?

Why all of a sudden will my webcam not work in yahoo messenger?

  • My webcam was working with messenger fine two days ago. But yesterday and today when my husband came online and I invited him to view it, the invite showed up on the messenger screen and so did that he accepted it, but then nothing. I can see the link to the cam in my messenger list and the screen pops up for me, but he is getting nothing not even the link next to my name. It tells him that my webcam is not connected even when it is showing that I am on my end, just broadcasting 0 viewers. I thought it may have just been that messenger needed to be reset, but that didn't work. Please I am so frustrated... my husband's 8000 miles away and this is the only way that we have to see eachother... I'll take any suggestions!!! Thanks.

    sometimes it's just a matter of re-starting your computer..... I've had the same thing happen intermittently and I can't really explain why. The re-start seems to help sometimes.
