"How do I get my Web Cam to Work on Yahoo! Messenger?

When I click on to "My Web Cam" in Yahoo! Messenger, a box comes up stating "Sorry, you appear to be behind a firewall and are currently unable to use the Yahoo! Webcam service, and at the bottom of this box it states, "Not Connected". My Web Cam is connected, I downloaded the Creative Web Cam Vista Plus Installation CD, and on my Windows Live MSN Messenger it works, but my Web Cam does not work on Yahoo! Messenger, through the Web Cam Service. Can someone help me on how to get my Web Cam to work on Yahoo! Messenger?

Hi, I am having EXACTLY the same problem that you are having, the strange thing is I haven't changed any of my settings since my Yahoo Messenger and webcam was previously working. I have since checked everything, un-installed, re-installed, proxy settings, firewall settings, etc. The messenger works but the webcam won't. The Webcam will work on my MSN, so I am with you on this one, I just wish we could get an answer on how to fix the problem. I have sent an email to Yahoo Messenger, but they didn't bother to reply, that was 2 and a half weeks ago. All the best with getting it rectified. Cheers.

if it is working in MSN messenger then it should work in yahoo too.You better check your firewall settings .Might you can even try to reinstall the program.
