What happened to yahoo messenger?

My links to other sites on my Yahoo messenger window no longer work. What's happened?

  • From my yahoo messenger window I used to click links to get to my mail, my 360 page, answers, etc. The new window still opens but it remains blank and the address bar has this huge numerical path that begins with the yahoo.com, reset cookies. I have tried to download & re-install messenger but i get an error and it does not complete installation. Any ideas on what I need to do to "rest cookies?" Messenger knows who I am. When I go directly to yahoo.com, it knows who I am.

    you need to associate messenger to your browser ... IE6 and IE7 are slightly different so do this ...open control panel / network and internet connections / internet options icon / programs tab ... click the reset websettings button then check make IE my default browser ... if you don't see a reset websettings button you have IE7 ... click Make Default on the programs tab and then go to advanced tab and click the reset button
