How do I fix yahoo messenger?

How am I gonna fix the problem I have with my yahoo messenger.?

• My yahoo messenger is not running well. The problem comes in whenever I enter the chat room and whenever I'm chatting, i can receive IMs and I can send IMs too as far as I know but the problem is that the recepient dont receive it and it appears to them that i am not responding or replying at all though i reply to them shortly after i receive their message. What they see on the chat box is my ID is "typing a message" they can only receive my reply when i add them as buddies on the spot and they have to add me as buddies too. that is the only time we can start a conversation, when the right thing is to communicate first before adding as buddies. On the other hand, i can chat the usual with my buddies listed on my yahoo messenger. Please help me resolve this problem for this yahoo problem had been my problem for a week now. I even tried uninstalling my Yahoo messenger to my computer and reinstall it again but still it did not work.

  It may not be you - if the other person has this setting made in their Ignore List they will not receive messages from you. "Ignore anyone not in my Contact List" Put a general message out on the chatroom for everyone to check > Messenger > Preferences > Ignore List
