My sound in yahoo isnt working?

my sound on yahoo isnt working. asked tech support they had no idea. skype sound works.. msn sound works.. i listen to music on windows media player.. and i play games.. EVERYTHING BUT YAHOO WORKS!! so what next? tech support had me configure everything from my default sound in yahoo's preferences to changing stuff in my start up menu thru msconfig.. i dont know how else to explain it.. but WHAT DO I DO! :( i upgraded to yahoo! 9 Beta cause i thought that would be the reason.. NOPE!! STILL NO SOUND. i am using vista, so yeah, if anybody knows.. PLEASE HELP ME!
