Why won't Yahoo let me sign up in Yahoo messenger?

How come it won't let me sign in to Yahoo! Messenger?

  • There is absolutely nothing wrong with my internet. I happened suddenly, it did it once in a while. But now I tried to sign in a million times and it doesn't even try to sign me in. I have Dial-Up but I never, ever, had a problem with my connection. :(

  • Answer:

    To use Yahoo Chat rooms: You have to be 18 years old or older. You have to verify your yahoo email address by clicking on that link, then replying to the email Yahoo sends you, that's how you verify. You have to be the administrator of your computer. If ALL THREE of the these are not in effect, you won't be allowed onto Chat.

In sign in window, click on messenger at top, & check connection preference. It should be a default connection preference which is either no proxy or direct to internet Also, check whether you are typing correct login ID & Password.
