Why can't I edit 'about me' in my profile?

Why cant i edit my profile from my yahoo messenger ?

i can not open my mail ..or edit my profile from my yahoo messenger .
Answer:

With Messenger open, Click on "Messenger" then click on "My Contact Details." You can change anything in this box. Click "Save & Close." Everyone seems to be having problems with email, including myself. Hope they get it working again soon. Good Luck.
