Is yahoo texting broken?

I just tried Yahoo texting for the first time yesterday and sent 5 different texts to my friend, but she only received 1 of them. Am I doing something wrong? I checked the number already. Is anyone else having problems with this service? Is it reliable? Thanx.

dont worry, you arent doing anything wrong, for some reason the messenger hasnt been working for about 5 days!! I am very upset about it right now but dont know what to do about it
