Msn Messenger not working?!?

New msn messenger. cam not working PLEASE HELP!!!?

  • I recently downloaded the new msn live messenger. and it wont let me use my cam or video chat or call someone on it. but it will let me use voice clips and my cam works fine when im talking pictures. Why is it not working? Someone said something about firewall. how do i get rid of that or make it stop preventing me from going on cam? Can anyone help me? i bought this laptop especially for the cam and msn and now its a waste of money! does anyone know the msn messenger help adress or report or something? so i can ask them? or a link to download the old msn?

    There will be away around it, if you have played with your settings on your new msn, then make sure you have the latest drivers for your webcam. Unplug and replug your webcam back in unless its built into the laptop ofc. Once you've tryed changing all settings and updating drivers don't forget to restart your laptop. As for the firewall bit I think you can add certain hardware / programs to your windows firewall allow list. If you have some anti-virus firewalls then look at them, and see if they have a similar setting where you can add your webcam to it's allow part. Got a wireless router? These things seem to stop alot of programs/hardware running for the same reason, log into your routers site and edit the settings, allways make sure MSN, webcam etc are allowed.
